I’ve been pretty busy with several pieces, jumping between them for drying times or a pausewhen something isn’t working. Most of the new pieces require power tools so can’t do those at night without waking up kids or neighbors.

I’m tired of Vincent Van Gogh owning sunflowers in painting. Yes, his are awesome, but I grow them, so added them to the background of my gouache Felicia study. This is a slow build up of color from blue, purple, red, greens to the yellow with these thin Schpirerr Farben brushes. They really hold their shape. I’m toying with putting magnets in the seeds and dipping them in resin or sow them into something.Maybe make a seed abacus.

That’s the thing about the making, you can design as much as you want, but in the doing is where you find the piece.
